My love of maps started in childhood with my Dad teaching me to navigate us through Colorado’s windy back roads and insisting on orienteering on every hike. Those early days instilled in me a deep appreciation of a map’s ability to create order out of randomness. Today I create maps for planning gardens, for friends’ weddings, and simply for fun and to bring my ideas to life. Maps have deeply informed my approach to design and leadership by teaching me to abstract and framework ideas.
